Westpac Rescue Helicopter
On the 26th of September 2024 Nigel Locke our President met up with Stacey from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

Nigel presented Stacey with our donation of $5000 which was from funds raised from our Annual Motorcycle Rally in May.

Nigel came home with a Certificate of Appreciation for the Coffs Harbour and District Motorcycle Restores Club for our generous support to help the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service save lives in the community.

Pete's Place $2000
The donation is appreciated by the drop in centre which is supported by St Vincent de Paul.

There are a lot of people locally sleeping rough, at the creek or where ever they can find a safer type of spot for the night.

Some have accommodation but not enough money to support their families.

They provide blankets, food, butane cookers, mozzie coils etc to help assist the homeless in our district.

Pete’s Place are donated 500 frozen meals per week.

Our donation has been used for a new freezer which will assist in the ongoing provision of these services.

Ancillary services can be provided through Pete’s Place, such as GP’s, optometrists, etc.

Life is challenging at the bestof times, and our donation will support the centre with food locally.
CanDo Cancer Trust $2000
This is a local charity that financially supports patients and families attending the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute.

They are a fully registered charity with tax deductible status and are audited each year.

Their funds are raised by charity events.

They have helped 1,802 local families and raised $855,000 for this support service.

CanDo assist those in need in the region by paying household bills or providing food or fuel cards.

In an effort to ensure funds remain in the local area and help those most in need in our community, the trust committee distribute money to patients affected by cancer.

The Catchment area for CanDo is any patient that attends the MNCCI at the Coffs Harbour Hospital.

They are a fully volunteer run organisation and do not have any administration fees.
