GAVIN GILL - follow the story of the Fizzy Restoration: December 2024: Following the Fizzy. Xmas day & the fizzy fired up for the first time in many years. Now to check the headlight circuit to make sure the rectifier is ok, set the timing & adjust clutch & brakes. I,m coming for you Fast Eddie! November 2024: The restoral continues, wiring done , seat recovered. Now working on the tank which was in a bad way with rust. After 6 days of vinegar treatment a few more leaks emerged. Once the liner is done its bog & paint time. October 2024: Found the motor, pulled the speedo down to fix the odometer. Ignition switch & handlbar switch repaired. Tidied up the wiring harness which back end has to be redone. Seat is ready to recover. Not hard to spend a day fixing a $30. part. September 2024: Assembly has started after sourcing replacement parts, building up the wheels & paint.Now where did I put the motor. August 2024: Been at in in the shed ,stripped the little 50cc . Some parts are kaput & some are being saved. Motor rebored by Soc ,zinc plating & a little welding by RGV Gary. Encouragement by V Twins Stewie who gave me an original 1975 sales brochure from the UK & Fast Eddie who wants some competition.
